A misunderstanding in assembly leads to Stella receiving her first ever Detention. While colluding with Snowy to hide the punishment from her parents, Stella is forced to consider the nature of loyalty and the perils of snitching.

A snide remark from the Mayor after a football match makes Stella realise that her dad NEVER takes off his crown... which is really embarrassing. So she convinces the King to take off his crown to come watch her next game. The thing is, King Bob's new look prompts a lot of uncomfortable questions from journalists and a rather irate reaction from the Queen Mother. When Stella tries to make things better, the nosy questions are suddenly directed at her. Why does Stella never wear her crown? Is she embarrassed to be a Royal? This prompts an identity crisis in Stella, who can't decide how she wants to present herself and what that means, no matter how many well-meaning talks she gets from her family. Being seen playing with your parents in the park ranks very low on Stella's cool scale so when she's spotted by the cool crowd doing just that, she's certain her image is ruined forever. Who would have thought that sometimes fun is better than cool.
