MoonPhase - Season 1

Seeking to understand why he couldn't capture a hauntingly beautiful young girl on film, Kouhei Morioka stumbles into a medieval castle and a world he cannot comprehend.

In order to free Hazuki, Kouhei sets out to destroy the crystal orb - the source of the castle guardian's power. Meanwhile, Seiji joins the battle from outside the barrier.

Kouhei and Hazuki seek out the young vampire's childhood home, so that she may fulfill her last promise to her mother - the same mother who abandoned her two years past.

The return of the full moon has stirred Hazuki's thirst for blood. When Kouhei won't give her what she wants, the little vamp sets out on the hunt.

Elfriede, a servant of Count Kinkel, has come to retrieve Hazuki and return her to the castle. The little vampire proves to be less than agreeable, and a fierce and furry battle begins.

Kouhei's family, Hazuki, and Haiji seek mystical assistance at the Mido home in Kyoto. When Elfriede arranges a clandestine rendezvous with Kouhei, Hazuki steps in to set things straight.

Finding Kouhei a pitiful excuse for a slave, Hazuki uses her powers to brainwash another unsuspecting soul into following her every command. When Kouhei finds out, a painful fight ensues.

Hazuki finds herself unprotected after her hopes are painfully manipulated by Count Kinkel. Kouhei and his grandfather must charge into battle to save her.

While Gramps and Elfriede join forces and take on Count Kinkel, Kouhei finds Hazuki and wakes her from an enchanted slumber. Unfortunately, the girl who rises to greet him isn't who he had hoped for.

With Kouhei at death's door, Hazuki agonizes over her attempt to kill him and is haunted by the relentless voice of her alter-ego, Mistress Luna. Is it truly her fate to lead a cursed life?

Concerned for her servant's health, Hazuki embraces her catty nature and rises to the challenge - Literally! But when Gramp's condition takes a turn for the worse, this kitty proves to have some fierce claws.

Kouhei, Seiji, and Hazuki must set aside their fears and travel to the little vampire's childhood home. As Kinkel warps reality, each turns against the other, forcing Hazuki to try and drive him away.

The battered heroes head out into the day to defeat Kinkel. But when a vampire has managed to survive for over 900 years, his death will not be an easy one. Whose bluff will be called in the end?

Hazuki's behavior is growing increasingly odd. While Elfriede wonders if she has turned to her alter-ego to escape her guilt, Kouhei realizes how much he misses the other side of Hazuki.

With both sides of Hazuki battling for control, Elfriede convinces the young vampire to seek out another servant under the full moon's light. Kouhei heads out into the night after her.

Hazuki reveals yet another hidden talent: the ability to suppress her presence. In her absolute stillness, Kouhei finds the perfect subject for his photography. Unfortunately, Hazuki's self-doubt soon creeps in.

During the quiet hours of the night, Elfriede unburdens her soul to Gramps. Kouhei, feeling powerless to protect Hazuki should another vampire come after them, decides to take his training into his own hands.

Kouhei's intense training in the mystical arts pays off. When Hazuki is set upon by a demon up on the mountain heights, it's the servant to the rescue.

Kaoru, jealous of the bond between Kouhei and Hazuki, seeks to capture her betrothed's attention by copying the antics of the young vampire. It's a feline fetish under the full moon!

Seiji returns bearing grim news of the world outside, but the danger has arrived before the warning. As her servant lies broken at the hands of another, Hazuki flies out into the unknown to save him.

Hazuki and Hikaru rush unheeding into the arms of the enemy, and Yayoi and Seiji hurry to their aid. Kouhei is at the mercy of the child vampire, as the defender of the mountain watches from the forest.

Forbidden from killing Luna, Mistress Arte decides to kill the servant instead. Yet the Midou family hides its own share of dark secrets, for the truth behind Kouhei’s lack of psychic prowess is revealed.

Kouhei cannot reconcile the little vampire he has grown to love with the monster before his eyes. As the Puppet Master attacks, Hazuki must embrace Kouhei - and Kouhei must embrace his fear.

The castle which had been Hazuki's cage for so long appears, summoned by her acceptance of her fate. Yayoi, Hikaru, and Haiji follow her in while Gramps and Elfriede struggle to keep the castle from leaving.

Life for the Midou family returns to normal. Ryuuhei welcomes friends and family to celebrate, but plans go astray as the full moon feast begins. Kouhei might have to save the day one last time.
