Starting as an actor's assistant, Pablito Sarmiento's comedic talents were discovered by Dolphy, and thus, his life changed when he became a star, taking the name "Babalu" due to his long and sharp chin. His successful venture as an actor led him to venture into vices. In his fifties, he feared that his stardom would end when he was diagnosed with liver problems caused by his long years of alcoholism.

At the age of 3, Julie Vega (born Julie Pearl Postigo) began her career when she starred in her very first TV ad. This proved that Julie has a natural talent for acting, and she even won the title role in the film "Mga Mata ni Angelita" in 1978. At the age of 11, she became even more well-known when she played the titular girl in GMA-7's soap opera "Anna Liza" in 1980. In 1985, the nation was shocked by her death, caused by an illness.
