Luis, a well-known businessman, has been in an accident and is in a coma. His wife died a few years ago, leaving his four children orphaned. Lola, a social worker, helps them find a solution. And the solution seems to be Kike, Luis's wayward brother.
Luis continues with his plan with the help of his lawyer, Girón. But his children have another plan: to have Kike as their guardian to prevent them from being separated. Furthermore, Laura, the eldest daughter, is being harassed by a friend over a sensitive video he wants to post online.
Luis is locked in his room, unable to leave, and it's driving him crazy. So much so, in fact, that he's showing symptoms of claustrophobia. His brother, Kike, is trying to win over Lola, the social worker, so she'll let him take care of his four nephews. Kike is also starting to suspect that he lost Marta in the past because Luis didn't play fair.
Meanwhile, Carlos has fallen in love. He's smitten with Patricia, one of the most popular girls in school. Among the obstacles to winning her over is her boyfriend, a tough guy. Laura will try to help her brother, unaware that her strategy will unleash unexpected events.
Kike, now more than settled in at the Molina house, continues his great passion for gambling but is short on cash. He'll try any solution to get by and participate in the poker game he's been planning for some time at Curro's bar. Meanwhile, África is helping her nephews prepare for Ana's birthday, the youngest in the family. The kids have been saving up for a while to buy her a nice present, and suddenly all that money disappears. All eyes turn to Uncle Kike. Between the missing money, Luis's situation, Kike's troubles, and Ana's birthday, no one notices that Miguel, the quietest brother, is even more reserved than usual.
Love is in the air in 'iFamily', although between letters, video blogs, and cryptic messages, nothing is as it seems. The contents of a letter discovered by little Ana and later read by Laura could change the family's life. Carlos thinks Patricia, the girl he likes at school, isn't right for him; Lola thinks Kike has fallen for her; Girón and Kike are both flirting with Isa, even though she's still fixated on Luis. Love has also arrived at the bar, where it seems something has changed between Curro and Clara.
Kike doesn't show up. Luis suspects Girón has gone too far, and two factions emerge among the siblings: on one side, Carlos, Miguel, and Ana, who don't want Kike to remain as guardian; and on the other, only Laura, who now believes she knows Kike's true identity, wants him to stay and tries to convince Lola. The stage is set for chaos, and in this situation, a confused Laura decides the best course of action is to put some distance between them... All because the results of the paternity test Luis and Kike took are still inconclusive, and the two brothers have cheated. Confusion grows in the Molina household when a rumor spreads that Luis is going to die, to the point that he himself ends up believing it.
The test results are conclusive. Or are they? Because Luis and Kike have cheated. The stage is set for a mess, and in the middle of it all is a confused Laura, bewildered and fed up with the situation, who decides the best thing to do is put some distance between them.
The paternity test results to determine Laura's father arrive, this time without any tricks, and tensions erupt. At the Molina family home, the moment of truth arrives because now they will finally know who the eldest sibling's real father is. Luis wants to reconnect with Isa, from whom he's so distant because he can't leave his room, and Kike, faced with the situation he's facing, will take action. Meanwhile, the younger children will test their father in a very peculiar way to see if anything has changed. To further complicate matters, Kike and Curro want to know where their friend Tony gets his money.
