"CIA" offers up decent actors in a bland action spy series. The wholly forgettable, formlaic first episode, to me at least, made little coherent sense, accompanied by a predictable dash of "woke" codswallop. Acting is solid, but it's mired in a series that is, so far, pretty uninspiring. In summary, a basic action spy drama, with the usual pro US rules the world narrative.
Episode 1
When a top-secret weapon is stolen from a U.S. defense contractor, CIA agent Colin Glass is paired with FBI agent Bill Goodman to investigate. Their partnership gets off to a rocky start, but they soon realize their opposing viewpoints may be their greatest asset.
Episode 2
When a known smuggler is flagged at the New York border with unidentified cargo, Colin and Bill head upstate to track. To find this smuggler, they must enlist the help of a foreign intelligence officer looking to defect.

When a deeply embedded U.S. intelligence officer is detained in Hong Kong, Nikki insists on traveling there to bring him home but her cover is blown.
