"Beastar"—a title awarded to beasts who prove their excellence through fighting inequality to unite carnivores and herbivores in an anthropomorphic animal society. Cherryton Academy has gone five years without one such leader. However, following the murder of an alpaca within the school boundaries, the growing tension between the different species poses a greater need for a Beastar to ensure peace and harmony. When Louis, the prime candidate for this prestigious role, rejects the offer and leaves the academy, the student council declares to honor any student who captures the culprit of the aforementioned murder as Beastar. Meanwhile, Legoshi's sense of duty as a strong wolf who must protect the weak pushes him to investigate the incident. To further complicate his life, he struggles to manage his complex feelings for the white rabbit, Haru.

What I can describe Beastars is it's like Zootropolis meets 13 Reasons Why. It's an Anime with your typical highschool drama, but with talking animals! Quite messed up and the animation a little weird, but the storyline was interesting as well as great characters. Worth checking out on Netflix.
The first anime that genuinely interested me and has become one of my favorite series. It truly deserves the praise it receives, so don't listen to those who claim it's just "furry bait"; it is a masterpiece. It’s like an adult version of Zootopia that starts as a romance and evolves into a thriller.
Episode 1
Things are somewhat calm again, but with Tem's murder unsolved and Louis missing, the school is filled with rumors of hauntings and strange occurrences.
Episode 2
Rokume, a giant rattlesnake claiming to be the only security guard in the school, approaches Legoshi and asks him to track down the murderer.
Episode 3
After taking a drastic step against the Shishi-Gumi, Louis faces an impossible choice. The drama club gets a new, very confident member.
Episode 4
Legoshi is attacked by a powerful carnivore. As Louis earns the trust of the Shishi-Gumi, he loses his own health and peace of mind.
Episode 5
While attending school during the day, Legoshi spends his nights in intense training sessions with Gohin.
Episode 6
Louis wants to officially quit school to make a break with his past, but his father refuses to allow it. Haru and Legoshi talk things out.
Episode 7
Tao — a black panther — accidentally injures another student. After Legoshi confronts them, the killer thinks back on how and why they murdered Tem.
Episode 8
After clapping a muzzle on Legoshi, Gohin orders him to capture a beast in the throes of a flesh addiction. Juno ends up spending some time with Haru.
Episode 9
Legoshi is shocked when he meets Louis in the Black Market district. At school, he's disgusted to hear Riz say he'll visit Kibi in the hospital.
Episode 10
After Pina makes it clear he won't be intimidated by Riz, Legoshi gets into a bloody bare-knuckled fight with the bear.
Episode 11
To grow stronger for his New Year's Day confrontation with Riz, Legoshi tries ingesting a moth larva and has an intense hallucination.
Episode 12
While getting pummeled by Riz, Legoshi realizes that they're not so different: he could easily have succumbed to his carnivorous instincts, too.
